We take on ASKO cold storage, dish care and laundry; ASKO does not sell a cooking appliance line in the US. ### A drain hose height stated to the inch ASKO's own installation instructions cap the drain hose at 37 3/8 inches above the appliance's own base and say to use the largest workable diameter for the cut end, both of them checks made at the hookup, not after a call-back. ### No external air gap needed on this dish care line ASKO's manual notes the appliance already carries an internal air gap and high loop, so no separate air-gap fitting is required unless a local building code demands one — a detail worth knowing before a plumber adds one that was never necessary. ### An access hole sized for the power cord, not the plug ASKO specifies the electrical access hole in the cabinet at no larger than 1 1/2 inches and round rather than square, with a metal partition needing an edge protector, so the cutout has to be planned before the cabinetry goes in, not cut afterward. ### A showroom setting on the cold storage line ASKO's own troubleshooting for its cold storage line lists a showroom setting that keeps the control panel live while the refrigeration system stays off, cleared with a two-button press rather than a service call. ASKO's own manual says no in most cases: the appliance already has an internal air gap and high loop drain line built in, and an external air gap is only needed if the local building code specifically requires one. ### How high can the drain hose be routed on an ASKO dish care machine before it causes problems? ASKO's installation instructions set the limit at 37 3/8 inches (950 mm) above the bottom of the appliance.
