Bertazzoni's US lineup runs from ranges and cooktops to built-in dishwashers and a refrigeration line, and its refrigerator manual carries two settings an installer checks before handing a new unit back: a Demo Mode built for store floors that stops the compressor while the display keeps running, and a Sabbath Mode meant for religious observance rather than a cooling problem. Bertazzoni's US range for this site covers ranges, cooktops and wall ovens, built-in refrigeration, and built-in dishwashers, all sold with the maker's own installation and use manuals. ### Demo Mode can leave a new cold-storage unit looking normal but never cooling Bertazzoni's own manual says a unit in Demo Mode can seem like it is working while it makes no cool air at all, and warns that the mode stays on even through a power cycle, so it has to be exited deliberately with the button sequence the manual lists. ### Sabbath Mode is entered and confirmed the same way The same control panel toggles Sabbath Mode with a different button combination, and shows 'On' or 'OF' on the display for five seconds before returning to the normal screen, which an installer can use to confirm which mode is actually active. ### A four-hour wait is built into the first power-up Bertazzoni's install instructions have the refrigerator plugged in four hours after it is set in place, giving the refrigerant time to settle in the compressor, and only then have the household run it for six hours before it is loaded with food. ### Clearance is measured on both sides and above The manual calls for clearance on the sides of the cabinet and above the refrigerator so air can circulate around it, tying a slow first cool-down directly back to a cabinet opening that was cut too tight rather than to the compressor itself. Parts Bertazzoni's refrigerator water filter is a specific SKU sold through Encompass Parts, and the manual calls for a full flush of the water line after that filter goes in, before the icemaker or dispenser is treated as finished. Repair or replace A new Bertazzoni refrigerator that will not cool is worth checking for Demo Mode before anything else, since the manual describes it as a setting rather than a failure and it can be exited with a button sequence rather than a technician visit. Check the display for Demo Mode first. Bertazzoni's own manual says this store setting can make the refrigerator look like it is working while it makes no cool air, and it stays on even if the power is cycled, so it needs the manual's own exit sequence. ### How is Sabbath Mode different from Demo Mode on a Bertazzoni cold-storage unit? Sabbath Mode still runs the compressor and cooling normally; it only changes how the door and controls respond, which is why the display briefly confirms 'On' or 'OF' when it is toggled rather than staying blank the way Demo Mode leaves the unit uncooled. ### How long after delivery can a Bertazzoni cold-storage unit be plugged in? Bertazzoni's installation steps call for a four-hour wait after the unit is set in its final spot before it is connected to power, so refrigerant that shifted during the move has time to settle back into the compressor. --- **[Read on the site: Bertazzoni Appliance Installation](https://applianceinstallation.center/brands/bertazzoni/)** **[Book a visit with ApplianceInstallation.center](https://applianceinstallation.center/schedule/)**
