Bosch sells across cold storage, cooking, dish care and laundry in the US, and its own troubleshooting pages describe the same handful of setup snags on each one: an inlet hose still kinked from the box, a drain line routed wrong, a control left in the demonstration setting the factory ships it in. An installer working from Bosch's own wording clears these before the first cycle rather than after a callback. We take on Bosch cold storage, cooking appliances, dish care and laundry, since Bosch documents a setup routine and a matching first-run alert for each of these US groups. ### A shared water-inlet check across the lineup Bosch documents the same inlet-side alert on its laundry and dish-care lines: the connection filters or the hose itself blocked, or the incoming pressure too low. On a fresh hookup this is almost always the hose kinked in the cabinet opening or a supply valve not yet turned fully on, not a failed part. ### A drain hose height and shape rule Bosch's own laundry troubleshooting ties one of its most common alerts to a drain line that is kinked or was installed with a loop the pump cannot lift water through. Getting the drop and the loop right at the hookup is what keeps this from showing up on day one. ### A demonstration setting some cooking appliances ship with Bosch's cooktops and ranges can arrive with a demo setting active, which keeps the display lit while blocking the heating elements. Clearing it is a control-panel step at the breaker, not a parts visit. ### Load-balance sensing on the laundry pair A Bosch washing machine that senses an uneven load first tries to redistribute it and slow the spin before it ever raises an alert. A new machine still settling into its feet on an uneven floor sees this more often in its first loads than later. Parts Bosch's own accessories line lists mounting hardware, supply hoses and power cords under an installation category separate from its cleaning products, and a visit uses the part that matches the model's own rating plate rather than a universal substitute. Repair or replace Nearly every Bosch installation call is closed on the same visit: an inlet or drain hose corrected, a demo setting turned off at the panel, a load rebalanced. A unit that arrived damaged in the crate is the exception, and that goes back to the retailer rather than getting repaired in place. Book your Bosch visit ## What we are called out for. Is that normal? Check whether the display is stuck in a demonstration setting first. Bosch's own fix is disconnecting power at the breaker for 30 seconds, then touching a control within the next few minutes once power is back, which exits the setting without opening the appliance. ### The dish care machine won't fill on its first run. What should be checked before booking a visit? Confirm the water supply valve behind the cabinet is turned fully on and that the new inlet hose has no kink where it bends into the fitting. Bosch's own guidance for this alert starts with exactly that hose check before anything else. ### Why does a brand-new laundry machine shake more than expected in its first week? A machine still settling onto its leveling feet, or sitting on a floor that isn't quite flat, will trigger the load-balance system more often than one that has been in place for a while. Rechecking the feet against a level, rather than assuming a part has failed, is the first step. --- **[Read on the site: Bosch Appliance Installation | ApplianceInstallation.center](https://applianceinstallation.center/brands/bosch/)** **[Book a visit with ApplianceInstallation.center](https://applianceinstallation.center/schedule/)**
