KitchenAid’s own guidance for a newly installed unit points first at the garbage-disposal knockout plug, which has to be removed for the drain line to work, and second at the drain hose needing a proper high loop or air-gap connection rather than sitting low or kinked. ### My new KitchenAid cold storage unit is making little or no ice — could the hookup be the cause? Yes. KitchenAid documents a kinked water supply line as a direct cause of low or no water and ice output, so checking the run behind the cabinet for a sharp bend is one of the first things worth doing before assuming a part has failed. ### Why does a newly delivered KitchenAid cooking appliance light up but not heat?
