We take on Liebherr cold storage only; Liebherr does not sell a cooking, dish care or laundry line in the US. ### A first-use checklist before the appliance is ever switched on Liebherr's own manual requires that transport locks, adhesive films and marketing leaflets be removed and that the appliance already be installed and connected according to its installation instructions before it is switched on for the first time. ### A demonstration setting meant for dealers, not owners Liebherr documents a demonstration setting built for dealers to show off features on the showroom floor; while it is active, refrigeration is switched off entirely even though the display and controls stay live, and a unit delivered with it still on will not cool no matter how the temperature is set. ### A religious-observance setting that also holds the appliance in one state Liebherr's SabbathMode switches off several electronic functions, including the door alarm and the temperature alarm, to meet the religious requirements some households ask for, and its own manual is explicit that this is a chosen setting, not a malfunction, for as long as it stays on. ### A door alarm that is active from the factory Liebherr's own guidance describes the door alarm as on by default from delivery, sounding once the door has been open longer than the owner's chosen interval; an installer or owner who does not expect this on day one can mistake it for a problem. Parts Liebherr's own manual is specific about what must be physically removed at installation — adhesive strips, protective films and transport locks — rather than a part to be ordered, since nothing on this checklist is sold separately. What should be checked before booking a visit? Liebherr's own manual describes a demonstration setting built for dealer showrooms that switches off refrigeration entirely while keeping the display active; if a 'D' appears on the status display, that setting is on. It is switched off from the same menu that switched it on. ### What does Liebherr's manual actually require before switching on a new unit for the first time? It asks that the appliance already be installed and connected according to its own installation instructions, and that all adhesive strips, protective films, transport locks and marketing leaflets be removed from inside and around the unit before that first switch-on. ### The unit is silent about temperature and door alerts. Is something disabled that shouldn't be? It may be in SabbathMode, which Liebherr's own manual documents as switching off the door alarm and the temperature alarm on purpose to meet religious observance requirements.
