Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Turn the breaker for the appliance off for a full 30 seconds at the electrical panel. 02 Turn the breaker back on, then touch any control on the appliance within the next few minutes. 03 Confirm the cooking zones respond to a normal setting once power is restored. 04 If 'dE' returns on its own after this sequence, book a visit rather than repeating the breaker cycle. ### Cleared? The message has gone from the display, the setting or connection behind it has been corrected, and the new appliance finishes a full first cycle without raising it again. Turn the breaker for the appliance off for a full 30 seconds at the electrical panel. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does a new Bosch cooking appliance's display work but the burners or elements never heat? This is almost always demo mode, a setting used to show off the appliance without producing heat. Bosch's own fix is a 30-second power cut at the breaker followed by touching a control within a few minutes, not a parts check. ### Will turning demo mode off reset any other settings on the appliance?
