Cove's own troubleshooting for a machine that will not operate asks the installer to verify the child lock, Sabbath mode and showroom mode are all off before looking at anything else, since Cove documents showroom mode in its own settings menu as being for showroom use only. Cove appliance display What to do when Showroom Mode shows on the appliance ### Kind of code Setup modes, not failures Nothing is wrong with the new appliance; it has come out of the carton in a state the store or the factory left it in. A showroom or demo mode lights the display and the fans while the unit never cools or heats, a Sabbath setting holds the oven light and hides the controls, a control or shipping lock refuses every key, and some laundry and dish care machines ask for a first calibration cycle before normal use. The manual gives the key sequence that turns each one off; once it is off, the appliance runs as it should. ### Usually leads to No installation Open the settings menu and confirm Showroom Mode is switched off, alongside checking Sabbath mode and the child lock. ### Shows up as Appliance Installation Code on a New Unit: Setup Modes and Hookup Messages An appliance installation code is a message a new unit shows because of how it was set up: a demo mode, a water or drain alert, a vent warning or a power check. ### Make Cove Cove makes dishwashers only, so every Cove install is a dish care job: the drain, the supply, the mounting and a panel that matches the cabinets. ### Source Cove US dishwasher use and care guide, document cv_dw_ucg_0524 Confirmed in Cove's US dishwasher use-and-care guide (document cv_dw_ucg_0524). ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Cove's own guidance for Showroom Mode on its appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Open the settings menu and confirm Showroom Mode is switched off, alongside checking Sabbath mode and the child lock. 02 Confirm power is on and the home's circuit breaker for the machine is set, per the same troubleshooting entry. 03 Run a short cycle to confirm normal operation once all three settings are ruled out. 04 If the machine still will not operate, book a visit. ### Cleared? The message has gone from the display, the setting or connection behind it has been corrected, and the new appliance finishes a full first cycle without raising it again. A setup code that comes straight back after the hookup has been checked points to something the install missed, such as a kinked hose or a harness left unplugged, so note it when you book. ### What not to do This is not a dead control board. Cove's own manual groups this with two other settings to check first, ahead of any question about a failed part. ## What you may notice with it. Open the settings menu and confirm Showroom Mode is switched off, alongside checking Sabbath mode and the child lock. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### How is Showroom Mode different from Sabbath mode on a Cove dish care machine? Cove documents them as separate settings that are both checked together on its troubleshooting list, but Showroom Mode is meant for retail display while Sabbath mode serves religious observance. ### If all three settings are off and the breaker is on, what's the next step? Cove's own troubleshooting entry moves past these checks toward booking a visit once child lock, Sabbath mode, showroom mode and the breaker have all been ruled out. ### Would Showroom Mode reset itself after being delivered to a home? Cove's own manual doesn't describe it clearing on its own; it stays as it was left until someone turns it off through the settings menu. --- **[Read on the site: Cove's showroom setting on a dish care machine](https://applianceinstallation.center/error-codes/cove-showroom-mode/)** **[Book a visit with ApplianceInstallation.center](https://applianceinstallation.center/schedule/)**
