Dacor's own manual documents Sb on as the display shown when a specific button hold puts the unit into Sabbath operating mode, running at its preset temperature with no beeping, button actions, interior light, or door alarm, and deactivating automatically after 85 hours. Dacor appliance display What to do when Sb on shows on the appliance ### Kind of code Setup modes, not failures Nothing is wrong with the new appliance; it has come out of the carton in a state the store or the factory left it in. A showroom or demo mode lights the display and the fans while the unit never cools or heats, a Sabbath setting holds the oven light and hides the controls, a control or shipping lock refuses every key, and some laundry and dish care machines ask for a first calibration cycle before normal use. The manual gives the key sequence that turns each one off; once it is off, the appliance runs as it should. ### Usually leads to No installation Confirm the household intends this mode to be active before assuming the panel and alarms have failed. ### Shows up as Cold Storage Slow to Cool on the First Day Cold storage slow to cool is a new refrigerator, freezer, wine or beverage unit that still feels warm inside many hours after its installation. ### Make Dacor Dacor installs range from wall ovens and ranges with a matching hood to column refrigeration and a panel-ready dishwasher in the same run of cabinets. ### Source Dacor undercounter beverage refrigerator user manual — Sabbath Mode Dacor documents this 85-hour automatic deactivation on its undercounter beverage refrigeration models; its larger column refrigeration line uses a different button combination for a similar Sabbath setting. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Dacor's own guidance for Sb on on its appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Confirm the household intends this mode to be active before assuming the panel and alarms have failed. 02 Use the documented button hold to exit Sabbath mode early if it was set by mistake. 03 Check that the door alarm and interior light return once the mode ends or is exited. 04 If Sb on remains past the documented 85-hour window, book a visit rather than assuming it will clear on its own indefinitely. ### Cleared? The message has gone from the display, the setting or connection behind it has been corrected, and the new appliance finishes a full first cycle without raising it again. A setup code that comes straight back after the hookup has been checked points to something the install missed, such as a kinked hose or a harness left unplugged, so note it when you book. ### What not to do Sb on does not mean the door alarm or the interior light has failed. Both are deliberately disabled by this mode and Dacor documents them returning once it ends. ## What you may notice with it. The appliance problems Sb on tends to arrive with. Confirm the household intends this mode to be active before assuming the panel and alarms have failed. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### How long does Dacor's Sb on Sabbath mode last if nobody turns it off? Dacor documents it deactivating automatically after 85 hours once activated, so it does not require the household to remember to turn it off. ### Will the door alarm still sound if a door is left open during Sb on? No, Dacor's own wording lists the door alarm among the functions disabled during this mode, along with beeping, button actions and the interior light. ### Is the button combination for Sb on the same on every Dacor cold storage unit? No, Dacor documents this combination on its undercounter beverage refrigeration models specifically; its column refrigeration line uses a different hold for a similar setting. --- **[Read on the site: Dacor Sb on — Sabbath mode on a beverage cold storage unit](https://applianceinstallation.center/error-codes/dacor-sb-on/)** **[Book a visit with ApplianceInstallation.center](https://applianceinstallation.center/schedule/)**
