The message has gone from the display, the setting or connection behind it has been corrected, and the new appliance finishes a full first cycle without raising it again. A setup code that comes straight back after the hookup has been checked points to something the install missed, such as a kinked hose or a harness left unplugged, so note it when you book. ### What not to do This is not the compressor or the cooling system failing to start. Follow Liebherr's own on-screen sequence to deactivate demo mode from the same menu that shows the 'D'. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### How can I tell demo mode apart from the unit just not being plugged in? A 'D' appears on the status display specifically when demo mode is active; a unit with no power at all won't show anything on the display, so the display itself tells the two apart. ### Does clearing demo mode erase any settings I've already changed? Liebherr's own manual notes that deactivating demo mode resets the appliance to factory settings, so any temperature or feature changes made beforehand will need to be set again afterward. ### Would a dealer normally leave demo mode on when delivering a unit to a home?
