Signature Kitchen Suite's own owner's manual documents sb as the display shown once Sabbath mode is on, entered by pressing the Freezer, Convertible or Refrigerator button first to wake the display, then holding the Freezer and POWER buttons together for three seconds. SKS appliance display · also shown as Sb What to do when sb shows on the appliance ### Kind of code Setup modes, not failures Nothing is wrong with the new appliance; it has come out of the carton in a state the store or the factory left it in. A showroom or demo mode lights the display and the fans while the unit never cools or heats, a Sabbath setting holds the oven light and hides the controls, a control or shipping lock refuses every key, and some laundry and dish care machines ask for a first calibration cycle before normal use. The manual gives the key sequence that turns each one off; once it is off, the appliance runs as it should. ### Usually leads to No installation Confirm the household intends this mode to be active before assuming the display has failed. ### Shows up as Cold Storage Slow to Cool on the First Day Cold storage slow to cool is a new refrigerator, freezer, wine or beverage unit that still feels warm inside many hours after its installation. ### Make SKS SKS installs are luxury built-ins: built-in refrigeration and wine columns, pro ranges, wall ovens and a panel-ready dishwasher. ### Source Signature Kitchen Suite refrigerator owner's manual — Sabbath Mode SKS documents sb automatically turning off after 96 hours, and notes it is maintained even through a power outage once set. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from SKS's own guidance for sb on its appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Confirm the household intends this mode to be active before assuming the display has failed. 02 Wake the display first, then use the same Freezer-and-POWER hold to turn the mode off. 03 Confirm the dispenser and interior display return to normal function once the mode is cleared. 04 If sb will not clear with the documented sequence, book a visit rather than repeatedly cycling power. ### Cleared? The message has gone from the display, the setting or connection behind it has been corrected, and the new appliance finishes a full first cycle without raising it again. A setup code that comes straight back after the hookup has been checked points to something the install missed, such as a kinked hose or a harness left unplugged, so note it when you book. ### What not to do sb does not mean the display or the dispenser has failed. SKS's own documentation describes both as deliberately limited while the mode is active, and the unit keeps cooling normally throughout. ## What you may notice with it. Confirm the household intends this mode to be active before assuming the display has failed. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does the display need to be woken up first before entering sb? SKS's own instructions describe a two-step process — waking the display, then holding the Freezer and POWER buttons — which is different from a single button hold some other brands use for a similar mode. ### Will the water dispenser work while sb is displayed? SKS's manual describes the dispenser as disabled during Sabbath mode, including on models with InstaView, so it should be expected not to respond until the mode is cleared. ### Does sb turn itself off eventually if nobody exits it manually? Yes, SKS documents it deactivating automatically after 96 hours, and notes the setting is maintained even through a power outage in the meantime. --- **[Read on the site: SKS sb — Sabbath mode on a new cold storage unit](https://applianceinstallation.center/error-codes/sks-sb/)** **[Book a visit with ApplianceInstallation.center](https://applianceinstallation.center/schedule/)**
