Rancho Santa Fe began as an 1841 Mexican land grant, Rancho San Dieguito, of 8,824 acres to Juan Maria Osuna, the first mayor of the Pueblo of San Diego. ## What Rancho Santa Fe does to an appliance. In 1906 the Santa Fe Railway bought the entire grant to plant 3.5 million blue gum eucalyptus trees for railroad ties, only to find the wood too soft to hold railroad spikes. The railway's land company then built the Lake Hodges Dam and San Dieguito Dam by 1918 to supply water for a planned community of country estates, irrigating Rancho Santa Fe as well as the downstream developments of Del Mar and Solana Beach. [All of San Diego](https://applianceinstallation.center/locations/san-diego/) ### Gated communities Large houses behind a gate often receive several appliances at once, and an installation there sets the order, heavy built-ins before freestanding units, so each is connected and tested without blocking the next. ### Cutouts and panel-ready fits Built-in columns and pro-style cooking units are heavy and tall, so they are anchored to the cabinetry or the wall as the maker specifies, and each unit's toe-kick ventilation is left open rather than closed off by trim. ### Patio and pool installs A grill or burner island on utility gas needs a line that a licensed plumber brings out to it, and the installation connects the appliance to that line and leak-checks every joint; one running on propane is fitted with the maker's propane setup first. ## A visit in Rancho Santa Fe.
