Frigidaire E1 — slow or no water reaching a new laundry machine
Frigidaire's own support article defines E1 as water not entering the washer or a slow water fill time, and its documented checks all point at the supply side of a fresh hookup rather than an internal part.

What to do when E1 shows on the applianceKind of codeWater supply and drain
The new appliance is reporting what it gets from the water connections behind it. A no-water or slow-fill message on the first fill usually means the supply valve is still closed or only half open, or the new line kinked when the unit slid back; a drain message means the drain hose is pinched, pushed too deep into the standpipe, or looped higher or lower than the installation instructions allow. Open the valve fully, straighten the hose, set it to the height the manual gives, and run the cycle again.

New supply lines from a working quarter-turn stop to each water appliance, tested under pressure.
Shows up asWater Leak After an Install: Close the Supply Valve First
A water leak after an install is water on the floor, a drip behind the kick plate or a wet cabinet in the first days after a new appliance was connected to water or a drain.

Frigidaire installs are usually straight swaps: a refrigerator, range, dishwasher or laundry pair going onto the hookups the old one used.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from Frigidaire's own guidance for E1 on its appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Confirm both hot and cold faucets behind the machine are fully open.
Disconnect the inlet hoses and clean the filter screens, which are often still holding installation debris.
Check that the inlet hoses are straight rather than kinked behind the unit.
Confirm there is no leakage from the tub while checking the above, and re-run a fill cycle once the checks are done.
Still there?
It usually turns into water supply and shutoff connection. Book with the code and the model number.
What not to do
E1 does not by itself mean the water inlet valve has failed. Frigidaire's own documented checks are all about the supply side — faucets, screens and hoses — which is exactly what a fresh hookup leaves for the owner or installer to verify.

A booking moves faster with three things: the message exactly as the display shows it, the model number from the carton or the rating plate, and the moment it first appeared. With those, the office can tell whether it is a setup step or a connection to put right, and send the part that fixes it.
