What E32
actually means.

Bosch's own description of this alert is that an imbalance has been detected, and the machine itself tries to improve the distribution before reducing or stopping the spin to protect itself. A machine still settling onto its leveling feet, or standing on a floor that isn't quite flat, reaches this state more easily in its first loads than one that has been in place for months.

What to do when E32 shows on the appliance

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Bosch's own guidance for E32 on its appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Pause the cycle and redistribute the load by hand, mixing large and small items rather than washing one heavy item alone.

02

Check that all four leveling feet are in firm contact with the floor and that the machine does not rock when pushed at a corner.

03

Re-check the feet against a level rather than by eye, and adjust until the machine sits flat.

04

If the alert repeats on a level machine with a mixed load, book a visit.

Still there?

It usually turns into anti-tip bracket and leveling. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

E32 does not mean the drum bearing or the motor has failed. Bosch's own explanation describes a protective response to an uneven load, not a part failing under it.

Where E32 usually leads

Anti-tip bracket and leveling.

Anti-tip bracket fastened and engaged, leveling legs set, doors squared on a range, cold storage unit, dish care machine or laundry machine · lowest.

In Bosch's own words

An imbalance is detected. If the imbalance is too large, the spin cycle will not run or it will reduce its speed to protect your appliance.

Questions
about E32.

Can I clear E32 myself?
Pause the cycle and redistribute the load by hand, mixing large and small items rather than washing one heavy item alone. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Does E32 mean I loaded the laundry machine wrong?
Not necessarily. Bosch's own explanation is that the machine detected an imbalance and is protecting itself; an uneven mix of large and small items is the most common cause, but an unlevel machine can trigger it too.
How do I check if a new laundry machine is actually level?
Place a level on top of the machine both side to side and front to back, then adjust the feet until it reads flat in both directions rather than trusting how it looks by eye.
Will E32 clear on its own once I fix the load or the leveling?
Yes — this alert isn't stored as a problem requiring a reset. Once the load is redistributed or the machine is leveled, the next spin should complete normally.

Still showing E32?

A booking moves faster with three things: the message exactly as the display shows it, the model number from the carton or the rating plate, and the moment it first appeared. With those, the office can tell whether it is a setup step or a connection to put right, and send the part that fixes it.
