What to do when Spin light blinking shows on the applianceKind of codeLevel and balance
An unbalance or not-level message on a brand-new laundry machine is usually a leftover from delivery. The shipping bolts that hold the drum still in transit may still be in the back panel, one leveling leg may be off the floor, the lock nuts may be loose so the legs creep, or the floor itself may slope more than the legs can take up. Take the bolts out, set all four legs so the machine sits level and does not rock, tighten the lock nuts, and run the load again.

A new unit vibrating or walking shakes hard, bangs or creeps across the floor on its first spin, pump-out or compressor start after the installation.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from GE Profile's own guidance for Spin light blinking on its appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Check that all shipping bolts, spacers and the shipping bracket were removed before the first cycle.
Confirm the leveling legs are firmly touching the floor and locked in place.
If a load finishes more wet than usual, redistribute it evenly in the basket and run a drain-and-spin cycle.
If the light blinks on every load regardless of size, book a visit to check the leveling rather than continuing to redistribute loads.
Still there?
It usually turns into anti-tip bracket and leveling. Book with the code and the model number.
What not to do
A blinking Spin light does not by itself mean the suspension or the motor has failed. GE Profile documents it as the washer's own correction routine, which is common on a first large or mixed load before the household learns how the drum likes to be loaded.

Cold storage
Setting a new refrigerator, freezer, wine or beverage unit or ice maker into its opening: measured, connected to water, leveled and started.
Cooking appliances
Hooking up ranges, cooktops, wall ovens, microwaves and hoods: gas connectors leak-tested, anti-tip brackets fastened, ducts sized and the first light checked.
Dish care
Fitting a new dishwasher or dish drawer under the counter: supply line, drain loop or air gap, power, mounting brackets and a first test cycle.
In GE Profile's own words
If an out-of-balance condition is detected by the washer, the Spin light will blink during the remaining portion of the cycle and will stay illuminated for a short time after cycle completion.

A booking moves faster with three things: the message exactly as the display shows it, the model number from the carton or the rating plate, and the moment it first appeared. With those, the office can tell whether it is a setup step or a connection to put right, and send the part that fixes it.
