KitchenAid appliances,
specifically.
KitchenAid sells cold storage, cooking appliances and dish care in the US but has not sold laundry for some years, and its producthelp site is organized the same way as its sibling brands — an Installation Support section under each group it still sells. A KitchenAid install visit leans hardest on the dishwasher pages, since KitchenAid documents a specific first-use drainage problem that has nothing to do with a failed part.

to KitchenAid.
We take on KitchenAid cold storage, cooking appliances and dish care; KitchenAid does not currently sell a laundry line in the US, so that group is not part of this brand’s installation work.
A newly installed dishwasher not draining has its own dedicated page
KitchenAid separates "newly installed" drainage complaints from ordinary not-draining calls, naming a disposer knockout plug left in place as the most commonly missed step, alongside a drain hose that needs a proper high loop or air gap.
A kinked water line reads as an ice or water problem, not a leak
KitchenAid’s own installation-support page ties a kinked supply line behind a cold-storage unit directly to low or missing water and ice output, rather than to a visible leak — the two symptoms owners actually notice are downstream of the same restriction.
Demo Mode is meant for the sales floor, not the kitchen
KitchenAid documents Demo Mode on its ranges as a feature for demonstrating controls on a 120V connection without the oven heating, which can still be active on a unit delivered to a home if it was never switched off.
The over-temperature alarm can fire before the cabinet is actually warm
KitchenAid’s built-in refrigerator alarm is set to a fixed threshold — above 48°F for more than 90 minutes — which a freshly plugged-in cabinet can still be crossing on delivery day before it finishes pulling down.
Parts
KitchenAid’s own installation pages call out the disposer knockout plug and the drain hose’s high loop or air gap by name for a dishwasher, and the supply-line routing behind a built-in refrigerator, rather than leaving those to a generic hookup.
Repair or replace
Most KitchenAid installation calls are solved on site — removing a knockout plug, correcting a kinked supply line, clearing Demo Mode — and only extend into a second visit when the cabinet opening or the electrical and water rough-in behind it isn’t ready.
